⚙️ Production & Timeline Update
All of the game’s final components have now been approved, and mass production is set to begin in the next two weeks.
It’s taken longer than we’d hoped for production to begin, which means we’re now heading into the peak manufacturing season, when production timelines can be significantly longer than at other times of the year.
Our manufacturer, Hopes, is currently estimating that production will take until mid October, putting estimated fulfilment around January 2027 due to the impact of the end-of-year holidays on global shipping. As always, these timelines are subject to change, particularly if we encounter any additional unforeseen production or shipping delays.
We know this timeline shift is disappointing news, but we’ll keep you updated as things progress and share as much information as we can along the way. Thank you for your support - we can’t wait to finally get the game into your hands.

June 2026 Update: UKGE Recap + Production Update

Hello Devotees! 🐙
⚙️ Production Update
At UKGE, Hopes dropped off some updated samples, including the double-sided flip-over novella (featuring the base game and expansion novellas) and the sticker sheet (featuring holographic micro-glitter), both of which look fantastic!
We're currently waiting on a few final components for review, but in the meantime we've carried out a second review of the game's print files to make sure everything is as ready as it can be at this stage. Once the remaining physical samples arrive and have been approved, we'll be able to move forward into manufacturing! 😊
It has taken a little longer than we originally hoped to reach this stage, but we're making sure everything is just right before production begins. We'll continue to keep you updated as we move forward.

From Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May, the Paper Fort Games team were at UK Games Expo in Birmingham, UK. It was great to meet loads of Cosmoctopus fans and backers excited for the expansion - you're enthusiasm for all things Inky Realm is always very much appreciated!
It was the biggest UKGE ever, with 87,837 attendees, and it felt like it! A huge thank you to Matt for sorting the event logistics, and to our wonderful booth staff who worked tirelessly to share our games with convention-goers!

⚙️ Production Update
In case you missed it, last month we shared GIFs of some of our favourite components from the pre-production sample of the game.
As we mentioned in that update, there were a few small tweaks to be made, and over the last month the team at Hopes have been hard at work creating an updated sample.
We're very excited to hear that they will be bringing it to us at UKGE (more on that below), so we'll be able to review the alterations and share more images with you! 🤩
🎫 Meet Us at UK Games Expo: Stand 2-522!
We’ll be attending UK Games Expo (UKGE) again this year, where we’ll have Cosmoctopus: Beyond the Inky Realm on display alongside some of our past and upcoming projects, including Cult of the Lamb: The Board Game.
UKGE takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May. If you’re attending, come by and say hello at stand 2-522; we’d love to meet fellow Devotees!

⚙️ Production Update
This week, we received a pre-production sample of the game from Hopes. While there are a few small tweaks still to be made, we’re really happy with how everything is progressing overall. Below are some of our favourite components - enjoy! 🤩

👀 ICYMI: Prismoctopus Plushie!
In case you missed last month’s update, here are some new shots of the Prismoctopus plushie; we’re really happy with how it turned out! This keeps “accidentally” ending up on different people’s desks in the office, so clearly it’s a hit… a fantastic desk companion, and very satisfying to squish. 🐙💜
